In some cases, the browser editor may not work properly when the coding test starts, making it impossible to perform the test properly.

Two known issues are described below.

Issues with extensions

Chrome, and other browsers such as Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge use extensions. When taking the Track Test using the browser editor, you may not be able to take the test correctly if your browser is using extensions.

Some extensions that often interfere are:

  • Translation tools

  • Security tools

  • Advertisement blocking tools

Below are the steps for disabling extensions in Chrome:

  1. Click the "Customize and control" icon(three vertical dots) in the browser's upper-right corner.

  2. In the menu, go to "More tools."

  3. Select "Extensions" from the side menu.

  4. In the extensions tab that opens, there is a card for each extension installed.

→To disable an extension, locate its card and click the blue toggle switch.

→To remove an extension, locate its card and click the "Remove" button

It is also possible to take the test without extensions if the browser is set to incognito mode.

For more information, please check "Browse in private" (official Google help page).

For instructions on how to turn off extensions in other browsers, please refer to the following official websites.

Issues with Chrome's translation function

In the case of the translation function that is a standard feature of the Chrome browser, there is a possibility that translations will be done automatically even if incognito mode is applied.

If the translation function is turned on, the language in the editor will be rewritten as shown in the image below (written in Japanese) or an issue may occur that does not allow the editor to work properly.

Please turn this translation function off before proceeding with the test. (This includes extensions other than the translation function.)

For more information, see "Change Chrome languages & translate webpages" (official Google help page).

If there are any other errors or problems during the test, please provide us with screenshots or screen recordings and share the situation with us.
